Day 01: Welcome to Rwanda by Gorilla & East Safari
Upon arrival, our friendly representative will be waiting to welcome you and transfer you to The Retreat by
Heaven / Flame Tree Village dinner & overnight stay. HB
Day 2: City Tour- Volcanoes National Park
After your early morning breakfast, you will do a city tour visiting major sites in Kigali, and later transfer to
Volcanoes National Park. Visit the Twin Lakes. Dinner and Overnight at Sabinyo Lodge/ Mountain Gorilla View
Lodge. FB
Day 3: Gorilla Tracking |Golden Monkey tracking| Hike to Diana Fossey Grave
While in the park, you do one of the these activities; Gorilla tracking or Golden Monkey tracking or a Hike to Diana Fossey's grave, and visit the research institute and musuem, a point she pitched and dedicated her entire life to the conservations of the mountain gorillas.
After breakfast, you will reach the park headquarters at Kinigi for briefing, after which you will start tracking Gorillas or Golden
Monkeys or hike to the grave. It might take you 2 to 6 hours to encounter the mountain gorillas or Golden monkeys and once
found you will be allowed to view, interact, and photograph the gorillas for only 1 hour. Dinner and overnight at

Day 4: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park - Uganda
After your early morning breakfast transfer to the border of Uganda by road through the Kigezi Highlands
commonly referred to as the Switzerland of Africa, to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Later take a boat ride
on Lake Mutanda with great scenic viewing and be freshened as you are ushered in a great deal of
excitement even before you see the gorillas. Dinner and overnight at Nkuringo Gorilla Lodge/ Lake Mutanda

Day 5: Gorilla Tracking or Gorilla Habituation in Uganda-Bwindi
After an early morning breakfast go for a briefing at the park headquarters before tracking the gorillas at 8.30
am. You will take between an hour to a full day to encounter the gorillas in the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest as
the time you spend will depend on their movements. Dinner and overnight at Nkuringo Gorilla Lodge/ Lake

Day 6: Queen Elizabeth National Park
We will have breakfast and drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park via the Ishasha Sector for game viewing and
you may be lucky to see the tree-climbing lions lazily on fig tress then proceed to the main mweya sector for
Dinner & overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge/ Bush Lodge. FB
Day 7: Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast, a full day exploring Queen Elizabeth National Park, with a lot of sightseeing ,game viewing.
The afternoon is the best time to do a launch trip on the Kazinga channel which is a collection point for many animals such as elephants, and buffaloes, that come to quench their thirst by the banks, you will spot pools of Hippos wallowing in the water as you sail by, the channel links Lake Edward and Lake George offering a good opportunity for game viewing. Dinner & Overnight stay at Mweya Safari Lodge/ Bush Lodge. FB
Day 8: Kibale Forest National Park
Today after breakfast you will drive to Kibale Forest National Park, famous for the highest population of the inhabiting chimpanzees and other 13 species of primates, making it a one-stop center for tracking chimpanzees in their natural surrounding. Later in the afternoon, do a close to 2 hours nature walk in Bigodi swamp, likely to see plenty of birds, monkeys, and the community. Return to the Lodge for dinner and overnight stay at Kyaninga Lodge/Kibale Forest Camp. FB
Day 9: Chimp Tracking in Kibale Forest National Park
Today, wake up to an early breakfast and head to the park headquarters for registrations, briefings, and verification. With your ranger, set out into the forest for one of the most exciting exercises, the chimp tracking, the closest to humans. It's thrilling standing close to these great apes in their natural home for an hour. With great memories, depart to Kampala for Dinner and overnight at Le Petite.

Day 10 Transfer to Masai Mara
After our breakfast, transfer to Entebbe International Airport to take your flight to the magical Masai Mara, and meet with the company representative who will transfer you to
the Lodge for Dinner & Overnight at Sanctuary Olonana Camp. FB
Day 11: Full Day Masai Mara
Today after breakfast, embark on a morning & afternoon game viewing drive in this vast and expansive plains so abundant with game; the 'big five', the big cats, and the wildebeest that have made Masai Mara a popular destination, other wildlife include impalas, waterbucks, grand gazelles, giraffes, waterbucks, topis, warthogs and so many more. Dinner and overnight at Sanctuary Olonana Camp. FB
Day 12: Masai Mara Game Reserve
Enjoy breakfast at the camp, then we depart for a full-day adventure with morning and afternoon game
drives. The Masai still live as they did for centuries -interact with these nomadic people and experience their
way of life as you learn about their customs and traditions. Between July - October you will be able to enjoy
the eighth wonder of the world – the wildebeest migration where thousands of wildebeests and other ungulates yearly migrate
from Tanzania’s Serengeti into Masai Mara in their search for green pastures. They cross the Nile crocodile
invested Mara River. Tens of them are drawn in the ranging waters, others are captured and killed by the giant
crocodiles. Predators too in their hundreds also follow and lay in wait for those animals that become weak or incapacitated during the long journey for a kill. Be on the lookout for the big five that Maasai Mara is famous for. These include the lion. Kill! We return
to the camp before dusk.
Balloon Safari (Optional) is done over the Mara Triangle, it offers a chance to watch the game from above, flying over the Masai mara lush plains. Balloon is a good addon, be sure to communicate your needs.

Day 13: Departure
After breakfast, transfer to the Airstrip to catch your flight back to Nairobi, where you will be transferred to Kenyatta International Airport for your home-bound flight. HB

Gorilla Tracking in Uganda Versus Rwanda
While on this safari, you can track either/both in Uganda and Rwanda. Here is the major difference, A gorilla Permit in Uganda is at $800, and at $1500 in Rwanda. Choose what suits your interests and budget.
Gorilla Habituation or Gorilla Tracking
Choosing to either track gorillas or do Gorilla Habituation experience is a matter of choice and what you prefer. Gorilla tracking is standard but remarkable, where as habituation experience gives you 4hours with the gorillas, a Permit obtained at $1,500 and $800 for normal gorilla tracking.

Who Tracks Gorillas/Chimpanzees/Golden Monkeys
Anyone above 15 years and above tracking gorillas, 12 years and above tracks Chimps & Golden Monkeys.
You must not be with contangous illnesses like cold, flu. You will not be permited to track the primates
Even Special needs persons can track these primates, especially in Bwindi, they are carried through the thick forest to where the gorillas are, this is done in Bwindi Impenetrables National Park
