Book your soulful safari in the Masai Mara
The 3 Days Masai Mara Safari is a soulful safari that goes way above the big five or big cats, but one where you develop a deep and emotional connection with nature when surrounded by the raw nature and untamed beauty of the wild. When you take this 3-day Masai Mara Safari, you will not leave the same.
Our representative will meet you at the Airport, a driver/ guide will drive you to Masai Mara Game Reserve, a haven for wildlife; the big five, the big cats. Masai Mara is the host of nature’s greatest event, the Wildebeest Migration happening yearly between June- October, when millions of wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, migrate from the Serengeti crossing the Mara river into Maasai Mara to find fresh food, its at the point of the Mara crossing that is even more dramatic as we see predators lie in wait of their prey. Setting foot in Africa’s admired safari destination is a dream come true.
On arrival at the park, settle in and relax at the lodge to absorb nature. Later, visit the Masai people who have a rich culture, they will show you their way of life from dances, to the dressings, and grab a souvenir from these locals as a way of supporting them. Dinner and overnight at Mara Sopa Lodge. FB
Have a very early breakfast and embark on an early morning game drive and a full day exploring the park, watching all the game. If you travel between July - October, then you catch the live event of the wildebeest Migration before your own eyes as you see masses of animals trekking long distance and risking their lives at the Mara river, the Mara River crossing is the most dangerous moment as most ungalates do not make it past this point, that is infested with predators such as lions, leopards, crocodiles and the river itself where some of the animals that fail to swim across are swept away. This is the highlight of the wildebeest migration.
Even in other months of travel, you may not catch the wildebeest migration, but you will still enjoy extensive game viewing from the big five: elephants, buffalo, rhinos, lion and leopard, and other big cats such as cheetahs. Catch the giraffes with their necks towering high, the wildebeests, zebras, antelopes, and many more during your game drive.
Optional: Hot Air Balloon Safari, where you get to watch game from above, the balloon flies over the Mara triangle, exposing you to great wildlife sightings from a different angle, besides the balloon ride gives you panoramic views of Masai Mara with breathtaking scenery. This is organized at an extra cost.
Have breakfast in Masai Mara and drive to Nairobi. If you have time, visit the Masai market to get the souvenirs. Depending on the time of your flight, you will be transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for departure.
