Gorilla Habituation Experience

The Gorilla Habituation Experience is a unique and rewarding opportunity to witness firsthand the process of getting a wild gorilla troop accustomed to human presence.

Why Choose Gorilla Habituation Experience
Longer Observation Time: Unlike a typical gorilla trek where you spend an hour with a habituated group, the habituation experience allows for four hours of observation.
Witnessing the Process: You'll accompany a team of researchers and trackers as they work to habituate a specific gorilla group. This involves careful observation, mimicking gorilla behavior, and gradually increasing human presence.
Contributing to Conservation: By participating in the habituation experience, you directly contribute to gorilla conservation efforts. The data collected during this process helps researchers understand gorilla behavior and ecology, which is crucial for their long-term survival.
Limited Availability: Only four people are allowed to participate in the habituation experience per day, making it a highly exclusive opportunity.

Where to Experience Gorill Habituation:
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Uganda: This is the primary location for gorilla habituation experiences, particularly in the Rushaga Sector of the park where 2 families of gorillas are undergoing the habituation process.
